Craft has an interior that is so suitably New York; the ambient lights give you an opportunity to see your dinner mate but not to be blinded by bad lighting. The bulbs so appropriate to see the restaurant in a copperish hue. The space is nice because when it is at capacity it does not feel like it is overwhelmingly full.

I love the first course; Craft has a gorgeous selection of oysters and fish and wondrous charcuterie.

The concept and quality are exceptionally well done. I had the Mediterranean Sea Bass. Perfect portion and the fish outshown the accoutrements. I had a side of Hen of the Woods and shared the Fingerling Potatoes. I like the customization of each food item–I could get exactly what I wanted. I felt I was instrumental in making my meal all a success. Where else are you going to see Salisfy or Cardoons on a menu?

The wine was very well edited; quite balanced and a few bottles I thought quite thoughtful.

The finale was a roasted banana, chocolate and caramel. Exactly what I wanted and pure and well done.

Buen Provecho!

Go early. The scones are scrumptious, delightful, light, and beyond delish. These are NOT the hit-your-stomach-like-a-brick garden variety scone–these are a near revolution in scone baking technology–please clone this scone. And if you go early enough are warm from the oven. The preserves they make are their own. I could have and should have eaten three. Move over protein–carbs are king and hence the long line at Alice’s.

Buen Provecho!
